About Me
I'm Ewald Kantner, a seasoned software and hardware developer with a pronounced focus on AI/Machine Learning and Embedded Systems.
Recent advancements in AI have transformed what once seemed unattainable into achievable milestones. With decades of developmental expertise, paired with deep theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in Machine Learning, I have successfully implemented several client projects. While I appreciate the power of complex neural networks, I also recognize that simpler statistical methods can often be more effective: "the right tool for the job".
When it comes to Embedded Systems, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. From initial circuit design to series adaptation, and from firmware PoC to EMC testing, I have successfully brought numerous client endeavors to fruition. When conventional methods fall short, I thrive in devising and executing out-of-the-box solutions.
Professional Journey
Back in the late 90s, when AI and neural networks were still nascent, I crafted a self-learning chess AI. Following my successful studies in Mobile Computing at FH Hagenberg, my attention shifted towards electronics and embedded systems. But the recent renaissance in AI has rekindled my profound passion for it.
